Can you please post clearer pics in better lighting?
These are be best I can do right now. Their coop is in the shade (Florida) and it is fun getting the flash to work outside. (we purchased our chicks from My Pet Chicken as part of the Rare Assortment). The cream color keeps getting more wide spread as time goes by.

No flash is better. :) Thanks for the pics! Do you know what breeds are possible? I think it's likely you've got a Speckled Sussex.

when it was much younger it looked more like the cream legbar chick pictures posted at My Pet Chicken than the Speckled Sussex. In fact, we first thought it might have been a wyandotte...

: JUST so I understand : R theses Frizzles or Sizzles ?

The NN Rooster is what:? an Frizzle, so If breed to Smooth feathers = 50% Frizzles. 50% WHAT ?

Sizzle to : Silkie = 50% Silkies, 50% Sizzles.

I was wondering if anyone could help me sex my marans. I have never had a marans chicken before. I got two from Rural King and one died so I went back and got another two weeks later. My oldest chick still has almost no tail feathers. The new chick who is about two and a half week younger has a nice large tail. That is about the only difference between the two other than the size due to the age difference. Is the tail coming in late a sign it is a male?

Frizzle x smooth feathers = 50% Frizzle, 50% smooth (normal chicken)

Sizzle to silkie, I think that will depend on the Sizzle parent. Definitely 50% Sizzles, but the other 50% could be either silkie, or 25% silkie and 25% smooth.

Not necessarily. Please post pics.
