Thanks for starting this thread Leah567! I bought my first chicks this spring, and out of the seven, this one has been growing suspiciously faster than the other. She is also more aggressive and doesn't like being held/petted as much. What sex do you think "she" is?

The Marans are cockerels. They can be sexed by color. Pullets would be wheaten.

The lavender is a pullet, but it looks like another cockerel in front of her.

My profile pic is a wellie chick I had, she was a girl. The way I understand it, the ones with defined Vs on their heads, defined eyeliner, and defined chipmunk stripes are girls. Not sure if this is always accurate though.
