Yes I do know this but with them being the same age and breed and differ from each other so much then the other has to be a rooster! They were both hatched the same day! Him and my other rooster don't get along and I have plans for my jersey giant rooster when I was hoping that everyone else were hens!

Spurs don't begin to develop until after 6 months of age. All chickens have spur buds. Some roosters never grow spurs. And some hens will grow spurs just as long as any rooster. It's not a reliable indicator of gender.

That won't be killing any developing chicks will it? I also worry about mating as I've heard it's pretty rough on the hens.

Eggs don't spontaneously develop into chicks. No incubation, no chicks. Simple as that. It takes at least 3 days of being kept at a near constant 100* for an embryo to start to form.

Ok I have finally gotten a hold of my rooster who I have absolutely NO CLUE!!! what he is! I will post the list of what we were supposed to be getting, but I think this guy got mixed up!

Photos taken in natural lighting would really help. It's difficult in these photos to distinguish what's dark red and what's black.

Looks like an Easter Egger. Whether or not she's a good layer is something you will have to find out. Mine are outstanding layers, but other report that their Easter Eggers barely lay at all. They are very cold hardy.

You don't end up with a Black Ameraucana by accident. Breeders don't mix up $2 Australorp chicks with $10 Black Ameraucana chicks. That, and the comb looks more like a very small single comb than a true pea comb. Easter Eggers, on the other hand are very common, and are priced accordingly. And most places that sell Ameraucana are actually selling misrepresented Easter Eggers.

so it sounds you are going more on probability than the way the pullet looks... hmm... I'm just debating whether it's worth contacting the breeder at this point because I paid for specific breeds for specific reasons and 2/5 pullets ended up being something else once they were older and their true feathering and combs came through.
