I highly recommend brooding in the coop.NO GROWN CHICKENS INSIDE. Only in the Brooder stage (or possibly an individual in hospital/recuperation when it's too hot or too cold in my greenhouse or flex corral) and for as short a time as possible -- TOO DUSTY! Now that I found the thread about Brooding Chicks OUTSIDE with the rest of the flock I'm thinking about how to do that next time.

You were the one who told me to move my chicks outside a couple weeks ago so I did and I found that article because of that advice - THANKS!I highly recommend brooding in the coop.
I like to watch wood get splitDid you use a wood splitting machine or an ax?
Thanks for everyone’s insight on this. It didn’t seem cool for adults to be in the house. I get animals have accidents…I had a dog for 15 years and yes he sometimes was a handful but knew to go outside…I saw someone lay dow a blanket on the banister of a staircase to catch droppings. That’s like saying it’s okay for my bf to crap on my floor. Big YUKNO GROWN CHICKENS INSIDE. I put my littles out at 5 weeks this time. They acclimated just fine under a watchful eye. This was my second batch and there were only 4. I have 9 total. Love these stinking crittersI highly recommend brooding in the coop.
