I never chase them. They go to the coop themselves at night, so I really wouldn't have a reason to catch one anyway unless I needed to do a wellness check. So far that hasn't been needed.
Really?
Then they started running frantically and randomly around the yard. I started yelling "No No!" and started chasing them.
I was frantically running around trying to catch them

🤭 Okay, Bob. You got me. I did chase them that time.
I don't chase them on a regular basis. I don't even handle them or get in their space. It's not worth the stress on them since they freak so bad.
If we hatch keets I'm going to hover over the incubator talking to the eggs😂. Maybe when they hatch I can get them to imprint just a tiny bit.

There was a thread about a lady who had guinea fowl that would go on walks with her, and when they lost a member of their flock they grieved for a long time. I want those guineas.

It really works out best if you don't imprint them and let them be guineas.

You can tame them later if you want to. By not imprinting them they understand that there is a difference between you and them and don't try to treat you like you are some strange looking guinea.

Wait, what would happen if they thought I was a strange looking guinea?

Taming is scary, I'd ruther have sweet babies.
