The best way that I’ve found to get into habit of drinking enough water is to put 6 half-liter bottles in your fridge for next day. Grab first one when you wake up and set alarm on your fitbit for every 2-3 hours to start next bottle. Many healthy eating plans suggest small portions food every 3 hours so it works out well. Once you get into good habits, you can switch to a reusable bottle. Flavor enhancers or infusion can help in the beginning if you don’t like plain water.

Not everyone can drink cold water. Water does not taste the same everywhere. Some water is vile and disgusting.

That’s why I mainly drink deer park :D we have horrible water here!!!
You never want to try to drink the city tap water in most of Arizona. Nasty, nasty alkaline stuff.

Growing up they used to tell us that the rotten egg water was good for you to get us to drink it.

The water from the Madison formation near Worland, WY is so good that they bottle it right out of the tap to sell as drinking water.

Replacing a coffee habit... slowly...
I started forcing myself to drink tea instead of coffee (after my first 2 cups...lol) since I don't have to add bad stuff to tea. One day I'll try to switch completely - for now baby steps in that direction.
I love tea! It is my go to most days throughout the day. I still do my coffee/espresso in the morning, but that is more ritual than pleasure. It’s like drinking scotch….an acquired taste for me. After a year of drinking lattes at home and getting large, I realized the extra calories I was taking in and went to espresso black cold turkey. I’m used to it now… I have found some great loose teas that I love. Brewing a pot now….cranberry orange…hits the spot and keeps me from eating since I am trying to get back on the IF wagon.

My goal is to continue with the IF until my next full physical and blood draw to see if it really does help with blood work. Anyone else attempted IF? Curious. I am doing 16:8

Stevia or monk fruit.
Honey isn't a sugar free substitute but I love using it because it's healthier. Everything in moderation, if your not binging on honey it's not going to kill you.
The benefit of honey is it has anti-bacterial properties and is less refined than sugar. I like that about it. I go with raw honey that maintains its health properties. There are a couple of things the women in my family used for medicinal. Honey over sliced onion as a cough suppressant, yep tasted is A** but it worked. And garlic soaked in honey. Great for colds and cough…and strangely tasted awesome.
I normally wouldn’t worry about fat much either but unfortunately my liver numbers were high as well so I’m trying to fix those too 😭

I fear you’re right though and I’m guessing these things will need to be cut permanently? Which stinks but it is what it is I suppose.

I need to practice the water thing and the exercise thing. For me it’s weird because I get like kinda weak/sick if I don’t eat enough whether it’s portions or how often I eat or both but I think I just need to push through that and maybe it will even out on its own? Hopefully.
Your organs need water to function properly, once you feel dry, it is your body screaming that it is not functioning properly. You will get there. Don’t give up on yourself!!! You can do this…..dont equate hard with difficult. Make a habit to always have a bottle of water with you. You can do hard things….
Yeah I need to be better about water. I do drink it every day but not nearly enough. Like sometimes it’s only one or two small glasses for the entire day. Others I chug like a liter. So idk. I need to set a reminder on my phone or something so I remember to. Or actually I think the Fitbit has a water tracker thingy.
There are other ways to change the taste than sweeteners if you need something to help get it down. Of course you can use citrus slices or cucumber slices. Also try ACV or some of the flavored balsamic vinagers. They also have properties that aid in digestion and no sugar. I have an olive oil/vinegar store I get all of my oils and vinegars there. They strictly cold/single press their olives so no breakdown in quality, and the vinegars are pure.
If it did, I’d be an overachiever 🤔🤔🤔🤣
I overachieved a couple of weeks ago and it took 2 years off my life…🤣
As soon as Christmas is over I'm gonna do IF. I actually convinced my mother to do it with me, she's been pretty skeptical about it.
My godmother and I did it for a couple of months…didnt lose any weight but honestly slept much better and didnt have brain fog. It’s tough in the beginning because your body sends hunger cues…that’s where the tea came in. Also, drink a glass of water with a cap full of ACV when I get up to cleanse the kidneys and get things moving.

If a person is having high blood sugar problems, honey is not an acceptable substitute for sugar because honey is sugar.
