Seriously though, the 'food' part of it will be a bitch starting off, its just like stopping smoking or drugs (although i can't testify cold turkey on drugs i sure was hard bad on nicotine).

dieting we really don't have a patch or weaning method that is an 'alternative' so we must do it the genuine way and actually EAT the better stuff, and in moderation. Ive done the fasting, and did not mention it, because while it absolutely worked!! I don't think it's a very healthy way really, since I don't know of any of your possible prior conditions, so can't recommend it, worked great for me.... anyways...but once you DO get the weight off and learn to eat better you WILL SEE, that YES you CAN eat fairly large amounts of food, GOOD FOOD, not processed sugar, and keep the weight in check.

The other day I ate the hell out of some buttered corn, tahitian squash, potatos i picked out of my garden, and a big ass salad with a bunch of greens carrots, shrooms in it etc and a big ass steak that I smoked. i was expecting 5 lbs of weight after that. i only put on about a pound after it being 'fully processed' The next two days I took it easy with moderate meals and greens, the weight went away pretty readily.

The food i ate was healthy so it did healthy things for me.

On the other hand, there is a restaurant out here that has something called Pow Pow chicken, it's chicken nuggets smothered in some sauce, and some other stuff. I had that, a big heaping of fries, pie and some beans that were way too salty... and a slab of chocolate cake, oh man that was yummy. That crap, it took me almost a week to get it to go away again!

It's also not just about food in .vs. food out, but knowing that some foods we bring in, really do not do a hell of a lot of good for us, and are a bitch to get rid of afterwards.

Nobody is saying you can NEVER EVER indulge yourself again, oh really? #$ that, just kill me now! but more like, yes you CAN, but NOT EVERY DAY, and be prepared to atone afterwards and work it back off either dietary, or physical labor...

Last night I worked on lunges with weights. I also have been doing plenty of laps on the pool, pushups in the pool, been going for walks on the daily, daily bike rides, and I've been running around a lot more.

I want to start doing some more too, I'm goin to start working on curls and stuff on this workout thing which I don't know the name of lol. Its ine of those bungy cord things that you pull.

I'm also trying to eat healthier too

I got a wrecked back / neck, pins plates, disks, flappers, you name it, and unfortunately I am being told after the MRI, more to come. Let's not even start on the arthritis. I can't do a lot of impact, moving exercise in that manner of speaking but I can push a mower, push on a shovel, huff a wheel barrel full of dirt across the yard, drag a hoe, slow, heavy mule work type of exercise that I can engage slowly and come off slowly. I may not be able to articulate very well but I can brute force engage mass into exercise.

For those who like to run, not for me but if you can, get on the beach, run on the shifting sands, you will exercise muscles you never knew you had! and it's a lot easier on everything too. Since you are on the beach, get a little past the knees in the water, and power walk, or even up to the chest and do that. Plenty of work everything but low impact exercises that can be fun and work well.

It is important for a person to monitor their weight and keep it at a healthy number, but it can be quite harmful to promote obsessive interest in it. A person should not be pressured into assuming that they must loose weight and certainly shouldn't be thinking about it all the time! I would say that doing so is even more unhealthy for a person than not caring. However it doesn't hurt to make a healthy habit of exercise, as long as you keep in mind that your body is beautiful no matter how much you weigh.
Nobody is pressuring anybody into anything or obsessing over anything. The topic of weight lifting came up naturally on the other thread and people asked for Kiki to make a separate thread on it so it wouldn’t get lost. No one is shaming anyone either. If someone doesn’t wanna lose weight or whatever, that is their choice. But again, this was another topic that also came up on the other thread from people that DO want to change. Just wanted to clarify.

Oh okay good! Sorry, hadn’t caught up yet  sorry if that was a repeat of what anyone had said or anything! just figured I’d clarify cause not everyone was on the mayo thread or read everything which is understandable considering how huge and fast moving it was 😂🤣 but yeah, all this stuff came up over there so we figured we’d make a new one and yeah. Sorry
