OMG, you think fences work for these dogs!!!

They climb the fence (it's a seven foot fence) much like a cat would. They put one paw after the other and teeter totter on the top before hopping off to the other side. Ya need chain for these guys.

They make a fantastic indoor dog during the day and most people put them out at night (we do). They're lazy so they don't tear anything up in the house. They're also just super sweet and affectionate but they will scare the crud nuggets out of any predator.

Could you set up a trap in the scrubland beside your house or something? Wonder whether a coyote foot trap (not sure of correct name) would work?
