Well, it's just an infected mosquito bite.

I react quite bad to bites in general. Wasp stings are the worst. I was given steroids to reduce inflammation once.

I don't really care, it generally only lasts 3 days.

That sounds awful!

Well perhaps I used the wrong terminology. Basically it has become extremely swollen and sore. My thoughts are that it's got infected. Maybe It's not.

Sounds like a severe allergic reaction. Probably not an infection unless a medical professional has said it is. Have you tried taking anything like Benadryl to see if that helps? Or putting a Benadryl cream on it?
