I am almost done purging the last jars of fruit juice. These are the last jars…1/2 gallon and some quarts...about 14 gallon total.

Sure represents hours of picking, cleaning, cooking, processing in times of plenty.
MIL advised me to make juice from sand plums when they produced because they don’t make every year.

I’m straining the juice thru a sieve so I won’t flood the kitchen drain. Then dumping the pulp in the bucket for chickens.
Hubby just suggested that since it is really cold and dry that I could empty the jars of juice and pulp on the ground under the fruit trees. I’m thinking the compost pile and the tractor would be a much better option...tomorrow.

Side note…I closed up my treadmill to make room to sort out the boxes of office supplies. I tossed a folded blanket on the console. Dribble immediately took possession…next to a bag of kitty toys.

I used to get the Prevention mag even as a college kid. My mom is a retired LPN (nurse) who was very into nutrition but I think she has forgone that interest now that it would do them the best good. I must've gotten that interest from her.

I was surprised to learn about the MIND diet - I had never even heard about it until now and it's from 2015 research.

I encourage everyone to look into what is best to support their own health and as I get older and see others older and in bad shape I now really believe the adage an OUNCE of prevention is worth a POUND of cure.
@TheDawg please read this twice.

I've been looking into the MIND Diet - it is a cross between Mediterranean and DASH Diets - they are not diets in the pop sense of the word, rather more of a lifestyle change. I was researching it for my parents because they told me dad didn't have a dietician. I'm thinking I might try to incorporate some of what I'm learning, it goes along with the exercise we are all trying to do since exercise is part of the lifestyle portion of these diet programs.

DASH is intended to help lessen hypertension
MIND is intended to help stave off dimentia, depression and a host of other ailments associated with aging

I just checked out a couple of ebooks on these diet programs from the library - should be finished reading them this week.
Also look into YouTube…might be some good tutorials or videos

Please enlighten me, what's a steam oven?
Sorry….fell into a hole for a few days. It was the splurge in the kitchen. There is a water receptacle on the side of the oven and there is a rubber seal around the door. This thing does everything….convection, steam convection, regular oven. I just made bread in it this weekend. I think you could do the same thing if you put a container of water in your oven to creat humidity. May not get the steam but definitely the humidity.

I cook everything in it. Veges, rice, you name it….

Kiki never stopped working out. She just hasn't been doing as much EXTRA. That and she hasn't been putting her "ticks" on the TATTLE SHEET
Someone is right. ⬆️⬆️

I messed u my routine for this thread and the tattle sheet. I didn't actually quit quit.
Keeks isn't a real quitter.

I'm going to have to start a new thread so I can stay on top of tattle sheeting.
I'm thinking I'll do it just after Christmas for the new year.
