yOUR NOT SAYING THAT JUST TO BE NICE ARE YOU OLD HEN? oops, caps lock. LOL the second and dirty one is my old one. I am going to give it a good scrub down when I feel better. I just decorated the first one today. the blue one is my DHs and in his room. He loves it. He wants an angel and I keep telling him no because its just a 10 gal. Is that bad of me ? He is very sick . The tank was decorated very differently before today. I tried to go all natural but I cant buy plants here or fish.

Thats the one I changed from 20 to 30 . I even made a trap and went to a creek and caught some minnows. They were huge and live in my outdoor pond now. Better picture of my first attempt and the "minnows"?

A 10 gallon can hold a pair of smaller angels. :) The can be moved when they get too big.

My tank decor is pretty sparse, and kind of messy. My big goldfish tank has nothing but a few rocks because it's easier to keep clean for me.

When I started the Hobby back in 2003 I was more energetic and in better shape. :) Now I'm a crippled old lady with multiple joint replacements and a bad back. So I got lazy.

This is my 6 foot long 125 gallon tank. This picture is from 2015. I've lost some of those fish since than, they got old, but the decor is the same today.

The gold fish are very beautiful. They have great color. One almost looks dark pink. What kind are they ? Wish I could have a tank that big. I would go crazy ! LOL
I am also crippeled up. arthritis is terrible. I have 3 different types ! I think thats my OCD cant have just one gotta have them all. :gig
Does everyone else here call you Old hen?

Those are my single tailed goldfish. They go out in my dinky pond in the summer which makes them grow like weeds and brightens them up. I have a few different color varieties.

Lots of people call me old hen. I'm not that old actually, gonna be 52 at the end of the month, but all my arthritis makes me feel ancient. I started getting arthritis in my 20's and had my first shoulder replacement at age 36. I've had my other shoulder done, than both knees, than just redid the original shoulder this past spring. It is a challenging way to live, but I'm feisty. I also have juvenile diabetes, and had 2 types of cancer. I'm just happy to be hear most days.

We are a bit alike then. I am 56 , My whole body is eat up w/ arthritis, I have had a ton of heart attacks. This last one they call the widow maker and still 2 blockages, diabetes but I am just on the pill for that. A whole list of medical problems.
I see why the color is so rich then. I used to do that w/ mine when I lived in Mi. that sunshine and all them bugs work their magic.

We are like 2 peas in the same moldy pod.

Glad you are hanging in there too. Gotta stay one step in front of the reaper.

Outdoor life is good on goldfish. The ones that don't go out look pale compared to the ones that do.
