Dont we have a fish guy/gal?

That's a lot to care for. :hugs I see why you need fish. They are relaxing as long as the equipment works. I could never have kids. Just puppies. :) I am lucky I have a wonderful husband that helps me out a lot.

Yes, you sure are. :hugs
I do feel a little weird talking fish on a chicken thread though. I miss them a lot and miss the eggs too.
Will you never get any more? Or are you done?

I lost quite a few to a Fox this year, so I of course decided to get more. They are coming next week. I must be insane. :)

I think I am done. To repair the runs would take a ton of hardware cloth and I was trying to downsize to just a few layers because winters dont like me anymore. Its just too hard for me.

What kind are you getting ?
1 silver laced Wyandotte, 1 gold laced Wyandotte, 2 Rhode island red, 3 Easter egger, 4 partridge Cochin, 2 white cochins, all pullets, and 2 blue Cochin roosters. It will bring me back to around a 100 chickens. It doesn't ever really look like that many in my big shed.

I trudge out every day in winter carrying watering cans full of hot water because I'm crazy. :)

I couldn't do it without my husband. He likes chores too. We were both farm kids, and are too dumb to stop.

Stubborn, not dumb. Besides, it helps your bones to keep your muscles strong. :hugs
Except for when I fall down, which I tend to do yearly. :) I could never just stay inside all winter. I would go insane. The critters keep me moving, and thinking about them instead of me.
