Don't you just love to hear the Roosters in the morning.

My silkie roo makes me wake up laughing. His crow sounds like a castmember of "Hee Haw." Kind of a yodelling "waaaaah -HOOO!"

this morning it was porring down rain and still dark out to where you cant see anything and my roosters were crowing like crazy!

I like the crowing, DW does not. My SS and BO boys crow when I open the coop in the morning- they can't actually go outside. They only crow once or twice and are done. Apparently, this wakes up my Black Orp roo, Diesel, because he walks outside and crows his head off for a half an hour after that!

I'm new to chickens, but I have to say I really love the sound of my roo. He has no idea when to crow and he sounds like a yodeler going through puberty, but I love it!

I don't even notice the crowing anymore. I've been getting really annoyed though by the loud "cheeping" noises my turkeys make in the morning! We moved them to a large pasture, I of course, not realizing they would be next to my open bedroom window. Every morning at sunrise. Grrr. At least i'm on time for work now!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE hearing him crow. I was as excited to hear him crow for the first time as I was to get my first egg. I'm weird I know. To me, it sounds just like country livin' to me. Mine starts crowing about 5:30 AM or so. Doesn't bother me, I roll over and go back to sleep.

YESSSSS!!! I love it!!! Right now, our chicks are too young, but we can hear our neighbors off in the distance and I just can't wait for Hank to start crowing!!!

We use to have some who would crow all day long and all night. Didn't care for that at all. I can't hear them in the house unless I'm in the den which is over one of the cages. My RIR isn't crowing yet either so the little Silver Sebright/OE rooster is the only singer I have. He's good to only crow between 6-8AM. I don't mind hearing him waiting on the bus for my daughter. Too cool. I hear other roosters way off in the distance then too.
