Dora is gone

I am very sorry for your loss. However, have your goats been vaccinated with CD/T? That means clostridium perfingens (entero) and tetanus. Enterotoxemia can and does cause sudden death in goats. In fact it kills in a matter of a very few hours.
 
The vet was here a couple of weeks before Dora died and did vaccinations. Thanks for mentioning it, but based on the completely weird position of her head and the way her neck was twisted, I'm still blaming Jack, the surly wether, who liked to make my little fainter mix fall down.

I have never forgotten the wise words my old vet once told me. He said that the difference between sheep and goats is that sheep blunder into trouble but goats seek it out. I am truly sorry for the loss of your goat. This is one case where I can say I know exactly how you feel.
