Well considering you have no history on her, I say let her be. She sounds unstressed if she's laying eggs for you.

Currently she free ranges the farm which we have predator issues which makes me want to keep her in the coop but I don't want to do that with her being alone.

Plus she chases cars.....which I know isn't going to end well.....

That could be another option. I think I found some just down the road from us they're trying to rehome so it may work out to get some buddies. I really just am not a fan of keeping any animal 100% on its own, they almost always do better with more of their kind.

yeah....she chased my car down our country road a couple times after I was leaving to take one of my kids to preschool.....I had to pull over and chase her back. She seems to mostly do it to my car specifically (apparently I clean out car seat goodies and give them to her too often) but she also has started with any other car that comes onto the property.

Like the farrier was here the other day she chased their car. I was moving our horse trailer trying to back it into a new spot and she was chasing that (yeah that was fun, threats were yelled out the window at her because I was backing in a tight space LOL)
