Dosage help! Anyone use these All Bird products? (Water-soluble wormer and antibiotic)

Anyone use these? Any idea if the dosage is right for chickens? I'd like to start my flock on the antibiotic today (already worming them after fecals and with guidance from vet). Can't currently dose 11 chickens orally 2x/day due to back injury. Also have Tylan soluble powder, but the vet thought the doxy mix would be better (and forgot to tell me the dosage).

I would be tempted to use the directions on each label, 1 tsp per gallon. The tylosin/doxy is given for 5-7 days, and the wormer for 2 days. But make sure they are drinking it well. Kathy may have some recommendation for giving it directly by mouth to each bird.

My problem with the one teaspoon per gallon dose with the products containing tylosin is that it's much less than the direction on the Tylan Soluble Powder container.

Tylan soluble powder is 100% tylosin and each gram contains 1000 mg tylosin. One teaspoon weighs 2.5 to 3 grams, so one teaspoon of Elanco Tylan = 2500-3000 mg tylosin.

According to Elanco, the he desired tylosin dose for chickens is no less than 50 mg per pound per day and all of my veterinary literature say to use 1-2 teaspoons per gallon.


This one is only 400 mg tylosin per gram. I would be willing to bet money that one teaspoon does not weigh 5 grams, but something closer to 3 grams, so one teaspoon = 1200 mg.

This one has even less, it's only 200 mg per gram.

With this one the dose is 4.54 mg per pound per day. One gram contains 100 mg of each medication, but again, like the above meds, I bet that one teaspoon weighs closer to 3 grams than 5 grams.
