So I have a hen that has had a recurring sour crop. I have had x-rays done and everything looks normal, no obvious blockages, tumors etc. I have treated with monistat and nystatin. It gets better then comes roaring back. I discussed with my vet trying fluconazole and she agreed but they didn't have it in office so I ordered it from chewy and my vet approved the script. So now I am getting it, but need dosage help.
(Fluconazole Compounded Oral Liquid Chicken Flavored for Dogs & Cats, 25-mg/mL) this is what I have coming, my girl weighs 3.7lbs. Can anyone guide me in the proper dosage and rate? I will discuss it with my vet but want to have place to start as she is not a poultry specialist, but an amazing farm vet that has graciously agreed to treat my pet Chickens.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
