dots on egg shells

my egg shells this morning has spots dots on it. is it normal. I think I've seen it before when buying at the shops but can not remember?

That is normal, I get them on one or two eggs my self.

They are similar to calcium deposits, except the speckles are smaller.

Those are pigment 'speckles'...not calcium deposits.
Some breeds always lay speckled eggs, others do it once in awhile.
I like them.

It's very normal and like @aart said, they are called "pigment speckles."

Dots on eggs aren't determined by breed but rather an individual chicken.

.....wyandotte, welsummer...my light brahma sometimes have excess bloom speckles rather than pigment speckles.
