I must laugh and enjoy my crazy ducks even more! This year BOTH Thelma (Pekin) and Lady (Muscovy) have decided to sit on the nest. I believe they are all Muscovy eggs as Big Louie (drake) is a muscovy and has the hots only for Lady . If I have calculated correctly, we may have home-grown babies June 30th. This to add with our "new" babies of 2 Cayugua and 2 Welsh harlequins which we will introduce to the rest (hopefully) in a few weeks. This group of babies I have "trained" to come to a rattle of tupperware filled with dried mealworms as a treat. They go NUTS!!!!

I had 2 ladies co-sit one nest.. one of them hopped off the nest to raise the one baby that hatched while the other kept sitting waiting for more to hatch. She eventually gave up. It was interesting....
