Double frizzled?

I know she’s a frizzled Cochin but is she double dosed? She’s my first frizzle and I got her from a feed store. I got her in April/May as a chick and she has taken forever to feather out all the way. She’s not how I pictured her.

So if I breed her to a smooth feathered bird or silkie this won’t be passed on? The offspring would have smooth or normal frizzled feathers?

Your bird is a Frazzle. Meaning that both of her parents were Frizzled. The Frizzle gene is dominant and whatever bird you breed her to the offspring will be Frizzled. Her feathers are brittle because she is Frazled.

I think she's a frazzle (double frizzle). Her feathers look too limp to be a true frizzle.

I don’t think it’s possible to tell by just looking at such a young bird, unless the seller knew both parents were frizzled.

I do think she may be a silkie/cochin mix. The bit of foot that I can see looks black.

I really hate to disagree with you but what does that prove? How can you be sure?
I think she will have to wait until after a full molt.

The pictures show the difference in the feathering of a Frizzle and a Frazzle. It’s a bit hard to see but my first picture the feathers are rounded and slightly curled on the Frazzle the feathers are pointed and more curled. I’ve worked with chickens for a while now and I worked with the Frazzle I posted. At the same time the Frazzle pullet was at the farm there were also Frizzle pullets and the difference was very apparent. The op’s bird’s feathers are identical to the Frazzles and a Frizzle would have rounded feathers that aren’t so narrow and pointed.
