Interesting. We're not getting any other reports, so it seems like it's some combination of your browser, computer, etc.

Can you try a different browser / device to help isolate what the problem might be?

Roger that. This Evening I'll hop on the PC. I am outside most of the days with duties and I WiFi Byc to my tablet. This is the first day I've experienced anything like this. Been on this particular tablet since December.
Even with the giffy doubles, it's not an inconvenient thing.
After sundown I'll switch browser/device.

I got on the PC last night for a brief moment. Really not long enough to cat around the site and scout for the said anomaly.
Although this is an interesting fact, last night I didn't power down my tablet upon charging it. And today as I prowl about the site, upon the same boot as yesterday, the little glitch in the matrix is nowhere to be found.
As Martha Stewart says.. "That's a good thing".

I have just spent a solid hour on a completely different devise & op system w/o a glitch. I'm leaning towards the possibility of my op system of my tablet being the culprit. Since yesterday was the first time this phenomenon occurred,

I'm thinking a system update or something to that effect might be into play.
A head scratch-er to say the least. If it continues, I will most likely reset the tablet back to factory defaults and go from there.

That first 2 means it's quite old...in the android world...so it may be glitchy.

There isn't an android 2.7. The android version should be listed in the device settings, usually in the about device section. What kind of tablet is it?

The Tablet was purchased last Dec. and giving to me as a Christmas gift. I don't know date of manufacture but it was new out of the box less than 2 months ago.. And it shows updates are current.
I will search for the version again. I may have quoted the wrong number.
