Double walled galvanized waterer

Auscal,

Thanks for the suggestion to call the company. I am going to do that before I buy a new waterer. In fact, I just sent them an email and I'll see what they have to say. In the meantime, I'll just keep an eye on the water level for my girls.

I saw your waterer yesterday...it is real nice. I may do something like that if I can't get this one to work.

thanks!

This was Little Giant's response to my email...

Thank you for your email. I have checked with our product support and the only tip that they can give me is to slightly bend the outer jacket so it is more of an oval shape.

I'll give this a shot and see if it helps.

Mine is hung up as well.

I would say something is wrong with the waterer if it won't let the water out properly.

I use a chain and a carbeener to hook it to the hook in the ceiling of the coop.

Good luck finding a solution.

At the moment I have seven tractors each with a five-gallon Little Giant double-wall fount hanging in them. Never had a problem with the handles or with the cans leaking unless they were so old they had rusted pinholes.

I make a double hook that I use with double-loop dog chain to hang them. This keeps the waterer from sliding to one side and becoming unlevel.

Here are several photos of the way I hang the waterers in my tractors.

My oldest tractor is now over four years old and they still work as well today as when I first put them in.
