Double yolk eggs?

400

I must need to cut back on feed a little more, I've gotten 2 double yolkers in 2 days. Hmm.

They get the occasional mix of organic fruits and vegetables and they used to have 2 cups of Dumor layer crumbles but after I've been letting them out to free range, they won't touch it unless I hand feed them. So now they're only eating the fruits and vegetables and free ranging. I think I might cut back on how long I let them go out because they'd stay out all day and night if I let them!

The Dumor is layer feed, and that's what they're refusing to eat. I've tried the pellets and crumbles and they won't touch either, and they don't like scratch that much. They're kinda picky, but that's my fault for spoiling them with vegetables and yard time(which I call it) haha
I'm sure if I didn't let them free range, they would eventually go back to eating it but they were laying double yolk eggs on it too

Ours haven't laid any double or triple since that triple I posted well over a week ago. They get "yard time" all day until they put themselves to bed right before sunset and they get treats almost daily of fresh greens, apples and grapes. We switched their feed also, we are feeding the 21% wild game feed and they seem to like it, but aren't eating a ton of it because they're out foraging all day. Their crops are stuffed at bedtime so they're getting plenty to eat. We're also getting more eggs out of them, production wise. All nice perfect single eggs.

Good luck finding what works for your girls.
