My Annabelle, a Red Sex Link, started laying eggs at 16 weeks. Its been two weeks since and she gives me an egg every day and so far every one has a double yolk. Is this normal, ok, bad, indifferent? I just want to make sure she is ok. She is acting great. Happy, healthy. Thanks in advance.

Hopefully, her system will settle down. It's not uncommon for a new layer to release multiple ova at a time, which is why you are seeing the double yolkers. Whether this is an indication that she may have reproductive issues in her later cycles, I do not know. I choose not to have production or hatchery sex links b/c of their super productivity, which in theory predisposes them to reproductive issues at young ages.

WOW!! That's incredible. I'm glad she didn't do that! Thank you so much. I will keep an eye on her.
