They're just spoiled. They got some extras mealies the day before because I was changing out my mealworm farm and were expecting more.
Looks like they are all ganging up the grey girl!
They are all talking about her...I see it in their faces!

View attachment 1491302 This is my Sunny girl. We had to put her to sleep last month. She had chronic bronchitis (hardening of the lungs) and had a hard time breathing. She let us know when it was time. She was a rescue. She was 3 1/2 when we got her so we had her for about 12 1/4 wonderful years. I miss her terribly though.
i don’t speak chickenese but it looks like “it wasn’t me”

I just candled but the little buggers won’t sit still for nothing in there! They have broken through it seems! Should I add a hole tomorrow?

Ok so 18 to 24 hours after they internally pip is when you should make the air hole to ensure that they won't run out of air, if you don't know when they internally piped tap on the egg, they should chirp, if they seem to be getting weaker in there then that is when you make the hole, read this is a great article and it explains what I'm saying better: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/guide-to-assisted-hatching-for-all-poultry.72886/

Yes it is! Sketch was one of my first two rats and also the first to die (mammary tumor). Her “sister” Ink was a little black dumbo and the reason I fell in love in rats as pets. Ink knew her name, was perfectly litter trained, was constantly playing with me and loved everyone she met. Such a sweetheart haha.
I rescued mine from a local “rat rescue” and yea, they don’t last long. That’s the real reason I don’t own them anymore, it’s hard to go through losing something so smart with a 2 year lifespan over and over. Also, it’s a little painful owning such an awesome animal that everyone else hates.
Sleepy eyed Sketch and Ink. :)

Awww... :love My granddaughter wants one but I do not think she is ready to have one and have it die so soon. She has had her cat for seven years now and I do not think she would understand such a quick loss. And yes, our cats got along great with the rats! Even the dog loved them :)

Yep, it sucks!
Let’s just say my dogs “tolerated” the rats, only due to my firm dirty looks. :gig
My rat hating parents on the other hand were 100% head over heels converted to rat lovers by none other than Ink herself.

Azul can hold her own. She's also faster than the rest and often takes off with a bug with all the rest trailing behind her. IMG_20180730_193604859_BURST001.jpg IMG_20180730_193622117.jpg
