Sorry for the little bit of quiet, didn’t get to candle the lil darlings yesterday, but I candled them tonight. Both sill moving, though they look a bit mixed up now- apologies for the marking on the egg, they decided to be more visible on that side today!

That’s such a fun way to find out you had twins! I wish that could be the case with these guys, maybe then I wouldn’t be so worried already! I hope they can both make it too!

Just be careful when you do start to hatch eggs. It is ADDITIVE!
My 1 hatch ended yesterday, my next batch of eggs where set today.

I hope it goes good for you. I just had a twin duck egg last week, they got all the way to hatch day and died. One was grey and one was black. I hope your hatch goes better.

Yup I have been preparing myself for that, part of reason why I didn't start this year. I have a larger coop being delivered soon, so I'm getting ready for next year lol.

Today’s candling has me a little worried, doesn’t look quite right to me though it’s hard to say with it being a double. Any suggestions?

I agree, it doesn't look right. Looks like a possible blood ring at the top

From that picture it looks like the top embryo is growing and the bottom one has died.

That is unfortunately what I am thinking as well. I will candle tonight and see if we can get a definite conclusion- but I am not sure what I should do if it is indeed dead. The other babe would soon die as well, yes? I don’t want to let it grow further only for it to die as well, seems cruel!
