Double Yolkers...!!!

Hello all. I have a hen (she's a Golden Comet) and she lays double yolkers on a weekly basis, but recently, they have gotten HUGE! Is this ok for her? I took a picture. You can tell which one I'm talking about. The other egg is a large egg that came from another one of my comets. The BIG one is close to 3 1/2" long and she lays roughly 5 of these a week. Is she ok?

I have one hen that lays monster eggs every day. She has more of a double white that a double yolk.

She has been laying like that for 3 years.
She is a golden buff.

Her plumbing is out of whack. The ovary is dropping multiple yolk into the infundibulum simultaneously.

She started laying back in June of this year and has always laid LARGE eggs but this past month have gotten huge. I know this must be unpleasant for her. Will it straighten out with time? I LOVE the eggs, great flavor

It may correct itself but seems like if it has been going on this long, it may not.
You could try force molting her which will interrupt ovulation. Then after recovery, the single ovulation at a time may resume.
