Double Yolkers

My Red Hampshire young pullet is laying double yolkers. In the last few weeks we have had 4 they are amazing to eat and HUGE lol ouch.

I have no idea why she is doing this she also lays single yolks too.

Its nice whilst it last.

Is this common I heard it was fairly unusual.
 
Aren't they great? I think it's common with newly laying hens.......my golden buff hybrids layed alot of double yolkers at first.....
 
Mine did a couple each in the first few months of their laying. It stops, unfortunately, after a while.
