A friend of mine put some eggs in the 'bator that she got from her father. They are double yolkers. Does that mean she will have twins from each egg?

It's possible, there have been a few BYC members who have hatched double yokers. I liked the one where they were totally different looking chicks out of the same egg. good luck, They will need help though, from what I have seen.

I have set a ton of double yolkers and they die at about day 9. I do have one in the bator that looks good.
It is very possible that both yolks are not fertitle. I have cracked open some that only 1 yolk is fertitle.

When it comes to hatch time since there is so little room in the eggs they had a VERY hard time pipping and zipping so you have to steo in and help.

I've got one double yolker in now that only one appears to be developing. I've another that is just odd and due the end of the week - we'll see.

They need help out if they're going to get out if both embryos develop.

Most of the time either one or both chicks fail to develop properly.

They're a gamble but I find them interesting so I do incubate them.

Good luck.

it's possible, but it takes patience and a lot of work. It is also pretty rare. Someone on here has done it, and the 2 twins are still alive today I think. It has been tried, but it's rare if they even hatch alive, but they usually don't live after they hatch. But it's not impossible!
