Doughy or slow/sour crop

I was checking my girls this and noticed one had a "mushy" crop according to the article I read on crops I believe she may have doughy crop and not slow/sour. I was wondering if I give her the treatment listed in the article and it turns out to not be doughy crop is the treatment going to harm her or should she be fine.
