We have a male pigeon with a busted wing, ( he is my first pigeon and I got him by accident, he was wild but his wing was broken so I took him in) he can't fly and thus I got him a ringneck dove girl to keep him company, I was wondering how long it takes for them to be able to be in the same cage together, because when I introduced them today he immediately tried to mate with her (which I stopped) and she didn't seem to want anything to do with him. Any info is appreciated!

You should not put them together at all.

The bigger male pigeon will injure the smaller and more delicate ring neck dove.

He will always try to mate with her... poor girl!!!

Could you not get another pigeon rather than the ring neck dove?

Also the ring neck dove needs different food and care to the pigeon. She can not eat the larger grains that pigeons eat.
