Hello, and welcome to BYC! I'm so sorry your first post has to be for an emergency, but so it is with many new members. I'm glad you joined us.

First, give her some sugar water with a Q-tip or medicine dropper. Touch a drop to the side of her beak, and she will swallow.

Is her leg sticking out to the side, or is she just refusing to stand on it?
Can you post a picture?
How old is she? How did you happen to get her?
There may be solutions, but we need to know more about the situation.

Can you post a picture of her upright, and so the fluff isn’t covering it so much? Sometimes if it is bad enough it may be kindest to humanely cull the chick as to stop suffering since with injuries like this it is hard on them with growing etc. I’m no expert, that’s just my opinion and experience.

Would you wait until tomorrow for responses from experts on this forum, who may have a solution --- if you really want to save her?
I'll tag them here - @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock @EggSighted4Life @casportpony

I have to say, though - with such an injury she may not survive. Newborn chicks are just so darn delicate and fragile for the first few days. If it were my chick, I'd probably cull it. I don't have the time nor patience to dedicate to chick intensive-care, just too much going on in my life.

That being said, she will probably be OK without food or water for another day. Shipped on Sunday, means hatched on Saturday. The yolk she absorbed at hatch time will support her needs for 2-3 days.

In the meantime, if you don't cull her, I'd still give a little sugar water to the beak. I'd apply some antibiotic ointment (without pain relief) to the wound, and put her in a cup with a paper towel nest, so she doesn't injure it further until you know what to do.

Poor little thing. :(

I agree with @BarnyardChaos. I should have reworded what I said. I wouldn’t give up on the little one yet, but be prepared for the worst.
Idk I just can't sleep over it and it breaks my heart to see her flop around and make noise but I also have a hard time taking pictures of the chick but the bone is through the skin and she can't sit on it so she flops to the other side but she also won't really open her eyes and is breathing really hard.

I doubt she'll make it through the night, then. Breaks my heart, but I think you should go ahead end her misery.
