The way I see it, he's being responsible enough to ask permission to use images when he could have just as easily swiped them and assumed no one would know. If I had some pictures, I'd offer them freely. How cool would it be to have your chicken represent the breed in a book? Very cool, that's how cool

Your chicken gets photoshopped into a compromising position and rumours spread all over the internets, tarnishing his/her reputation?

I got the message and honestly have no problem with it. I simply asked that my website be referenced in exchange for the use of the images.

If someone is kind enough to ask then I have no problem granting permission.
