HI ALL...
Im actually signed in as Cluckie 2 but is my "farm's" name. Im in Florida and have an assortment of critters: Zebu cows (they're minis), pygmy goats and nubians, pigs, geese, kittens...stray barn and 2 house cats, 6 dogs, a chinchilla, peacocks, and most certainly, the fairly new addition of CHICKENS!!
I aquired most of these wonderful creatures by "rescuing" them...and some were "left" with me. But, I love them all.
I recently retired...sold my company after 20 years...which we serviced and cared for many animals including police dogs: and I kind of became known as the lady who would care for a stray or abandoned animal so let's take it to her!
Anyway, i grew up having animals and raised on a dairy farm...so, caring about critters is basically bred into me.
I love watching all their antics and they all interact with each other... Now being retired, I never tire of watching...and yes, talking, to them; from my morning coffee on the garden bench to in the evening's round up and putting them all to bed.
Well, that's me and I hope to hear from many and learn new things!...Just like my first request that I posted.."Chicken attacked 24 hrs ago".. i think im more versed with 4 legged critters and never had such an extreme injury with any of my chickens.
So then, thank you for allowing me to join and post and, as I said, I look forward to all antics, tales, and of course, insight on that wonderful critter...the chicken!
