Drake behaviour question

You can get a smaller drake, size won't matter. If you got at Indian Runner, you would be amazed at how much less food they eat, and how much less room they occupy :) I would actualy hesitate to get a female duck, knowing he is an Aylesbury. He could hurt a smaller duck if he tried to mate with her, it is best to match mating pairs by size.

Here are my two drakes, best buddies!

OMG What beautiful drakes! Oh you are so lucky to have them so tame like that. How did you do it? I can just about scratch Ronnie's chest and beak now. Dont you just adore ducks. I love him so much. I do worry he is lonely though. Here are my two coming towards the back door having a shout. You can see Stella the saucy chicken in the background :)

She does look saucy! Every flock has their little hoochie, mine is Honey :) I handled my ducks a lot as ducklings. I have 4 kids, and they were held all day, every day. I have 6 ducks I did not raise, and they merely tolerate my existence. Your boys are beautiful!

Lol I guess I didn't pick mine up enough. The two chickens that the fox killed were my tame ones. I just love that photo I'd give anything for Ronnie to sit on my shoulder. I adore my flock don't they just bring joy to your life
