So I have seven ducks. Four duckling, a drake and two female ducks. The drake and one duck walk around together, while the ducklings and there mother walk around together. Sometimes, for no reason, the drake will run to the ducklings and chase them and try to peck them. He even picked one up once! He just chased the mother of the ducklings today, but he never chases the other duck. Is there a problem, or are they okay?

Drakes are known to kill ducklings... they don't like competing for the attention of the females. You should separate the mother and ducklings from the pair for their safety immediately. Once everone if fully grown and able to defend themselves you can try integrating the flock. Hope this is helpful!

Ok, thanks! I haven't actually noticed the drake going after the ducklings in the pen, only outside around the kiddy pool. I will keep and eye on them.
