Drake egg! Lol

if you feel the two bones in their pelvis it should tell you if they laid an egg, the two bones are futher apart on laying birds to make room for an egg to pass through. its how i sex my jumbo quails anyway! it seams the same with my ducks too

@casportpony @Miss Lydia am i thinking straight?

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing these photos. What is the spacing for a male vs female? Now how do you examine the duck, lol. YouTube may have a video.

They have a small enclosed area in the coop for night time. I put them in last night with no egg. Got them out this morning with no egg. The other flock was out free ranging. No egg anywhere. Came back in to the enclosure that only the Pekins can access an hour later. EGG. Al flat surface. Crazy!

as far as feeling those bones, pick them up and feel down the front of their belly, they stick out. whoevers is wider is most likily the layer. Then confirm with @Miss Lydia s food coloring trick

If I wanted to know who was laying I’d use food coloring put some around the outside of the vent next time eggs pop out you have a pretty Easter egg and know who laid it!

I've read people refer to this trick before to find out who is laying what. What exactly do you do? Just squirt the bottle of food dye on the vent? In the vent? I've heard of using lipstick too. What is the technique?
