Drake Isolating Himself

I look forward to pics. Sounds like Forrest is in his element now.

It's always up to owner if they use heat. I imagine where you are it gets mighty cold, so using a red heat lamp will not cause problems with sleeping that is why they are rec for brooders. Just make sure you have it secured and then secure some more. You don't want a fire. I have a sweeter heater for those really frigid days.

Ya it gets crazy cold here. In the winter can get to -35 degrees celsius. Don’t know what that is in Fahrenheit. I turned the lamps off today cause it’s not that cold. But we got them all set up because the temperature is supposed to drop a lot tonight.

Okay so I’ve uploaded the pics! As you can see the new coop is attached to the old one. As of right now they can freely go in the old one if they want but they’re choosing not to. The mallards seem content in their new coop, they just keep getting annoyed that I’m going to check on them. And the Muscovies are a bit confused that half their brood is gone lol. But I’m sure with time everyone will settle down fine.

Looks great only thing I see worrying is your lamp looks like it low enough someone might get their bill burned if they stick their bills up or is that just the pic?

Great then your set to go. Looks like a nice cozy place to spend the winter. And watch Forrest come into himself now he has just his 2 girls. Keep us updated.
