Wandered in from a sleet storm last night. I separated it from the hens in the hens coop but if it's a male I'd like to room it in the rooster Coops. Both have space....maybe it will wander back home. Fell in love already so I hope not though.

Weird that such a friendly creature would wander. I can walk over it, pick it up, make it go where I want it too etc. I wouldn't know how to find its owner. It snuggles too! Never saw or held a duck before. It's super low to the ground but long and solid (heavy). Mind you my chickens are very small bantams so I wouldn't know how to compare unless I bought a scale.

Thank you. Do you know how I could send a message to the member you suggested? I'm new...Sorry.
If you want you can click on the name I tagged and something will pop up, There should be blue texts that say 'Start a conversation" with. I also tagged the person so that they would check out your thread and put in any thoughts.

Very good looking duck there..but considering it’s very calm used to people and friendly he/she probably has a family that’s very worried about it.. I would call any local animal shelters and maybe make a flyer to post around where you live.. if someone claims then he/she can go home where probably also has friends..if not congrats on the new duck then it’s time to consider a friend or friends lol

Looks like a drake to me by those thick legs. Has it raised it's crest yet? A good looking duck for sure.

@Nyla may be able to confirm it or deny it too.

Post fliers at local places - maybe a feed store or tsc? It sure is a nice looking muscovy.
