This is Frosty, whe he was about a week old, we were almost positive it was a female because it always had a high pitched, clear sound.
I love him to death and it doesnt matter, but I just wanted to know what he was. It quacks mildly loud like a hen, but is starting to get two tiny curled feathers.
He s a Pekin and we rescued him on April 17 with the Golden Comet in the injuries forum that I posted about.
We get him out whenever we can so he can exercise and he hangs with, 10, now 7 younger ducklings. (Three muscovies died this past saturday).
Im almost certain hes male because he nibbles the necks of the ducklings 4 of which are male.

Those were taken about 1 or two weeks ago, I can try to get pics of his tale later. I meant because, not began, in the first line.
Sorry the pics are small.

I'm sorry, I have no idea how to sex ducks.

I think you mean duck or drake, not cock or hen, though! I was very confused when I clicked the link and saw a duck.

You can sex ducks by their voices around 5 weeks of age or so. Female ducks will quack loudly and the drakes make a quieter raspy sounding noise.

Drake or hen?

See his tail? Its curved like a drake, but he quacks quite loud.
I used to call him a her by the name of Elsa from Frozen. Or is he now a Frosty from Rudolph?

Sorry I've posted three times in a row now...

Does anybody have any votes as to what Frosty is? He gets along great with the ducklings, including the males. He even follows them around, and sometimes leads them!

He ended up being a drake, I dont care, just wanted to be sure on what his name was! Even got him a girlfriend and he s happy to have a friend!
