I had some trouble figuring out this ducks gender when it was young. Does your method work with it? It is a Khaki/Appleyard cross. View attachment 1653602

I guess it does, but I am not seeing it. This is him in Eclipse plumage and his stripes look the same to me.

He is a mixed breed, so his form of nuptial plumage will be unpredictable.
