Dramatic Monologue needed, suggestions?

I am taking an oral communications class(a.k.a.public speaking) and need to choose a dramatic monologue that is 3-5 minutes long. I don't want anything too complicated....I read Emerson for another assignment for this class and it went over many of my classmates heads. I want something interesting but not over my classmates heads(varying ages). Does anyone have any cool ideas or suggestions?

In 1910 Teddy Roosevelt made a speech and a part of it has become very famouns. The excerpt is called "The Man in the Arena". The sppech is quite long but the paragraph that begins with "It is not the critic who counts.... is the part that has become famous and would make a great monolouge. It is a very moving passage.

If you could keep a straight face, you can make almost anything dramatic. Bill Cosby was often very serious about his monologues. If he wasn't so serious, he wouldn't have been so funny. It's believing in what you are saying that makes it dramatic.
