Very Nice,..now if DBF is buying for first time prior to, did you know he can get up to 8000 towards downpayment and closing costs if he buys by a certain time. If he got a fannie mae loan that would cover alot!!

Congratulations! Sort of! LOL! DH and I got married in his aunt's backyard by the pool. Had a huge BBQ, it was a lot of fun. They are a lot of fun to plan!

Nice house!

My DH and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary next month. We dated for 5 years and then got our marriage license out in west Texas when he was there working! On a WHIM!! We came home and my dad said that his friend the JP would do it that weekend. My mom called and said, we booked the restaurant for the party! AND we booked you a room for your honeymoon. So we said... OK!

You think they were ready for us to get married??

Congratulations!

Everyone is invited!!

I know how you can get everyone there!

You can have DF tell everyone that he's planning a surprise proposal/engagement and he wants everyone there for the occasion, and then you have it all ready to go!!

Everyone wants to be a part of one of those jewelry-store-commercial-style proposals!

My hubby and I knew we were going to marry someday and talked about our futures together all the time, and I got pregnant by accident. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, that's okay, right? We were going to do that anyway, right?" Understated, mellow guy, Mr. Sir is...

We made all the plans to do it quick as can be, and had a lovely chapel wedding and an informal outdoor reception that was dress-down volleyball optional- it was fabulous, excepting the 104 degree, 73% humidity that day...

Rick was devastated that he hadn't been able to propose in a memorable, surprising way (since he'd teased me by talking about how memorable he wanted it to be when he did someday for at least a year) and got down on one knee during the finale of the city fireworks show a couple of weeks before the wedding, after we'd been planning it for weeks!

Congrats, and I think a surprise wedding is a marvelous idea!!

DF told my grandma today - the first person in the family to know!

She's sworn to secrecy until the proposal happens.

She's 91 and is going downhill very fast. It's hard to know if she'll make it 2 more months, so I asked him to please tell her. We're going to use her engagement ring, which my grandfather gave to her in 1938 or 1939. DF has had it altered - I don't know what it looks like now but have a few ideas - and that's the ring he'll use to propose.

She was thrilled and said, "it's about time".
