Sounds like quite a haul, Jim!
My Jim was in the 101st Airborne, and he LOVED going out for free meals on Veterans Day. We made the rounds; some years it was Hy-Vee, some Applebee's, some Village Inn -- and some years, more than one of those.
I had to run to Hy-Vee yesterday morning and forgot there would be extra tables set up in front of the restaurant area for veterans.
I always like seeing the guys who served decades ago show up in the uniforms they still fit into. Let's just say that Jim's may have "shrunk" a bit after he left the Army
Carolyn and I managed to hang tarps yesterday, attaching them with zip ties to eye screws already fastened to the runs' frames. Because I had to move chickens out of the "ratty" coop, I don't have a tarp that fits their new place. I will need to create something workable.
Also, I learned a useful lesson. Instead of just writing in permanent marker on the corner of each tarp which coop/run it goes on, I need to CLEARLY mark which corner or end goes where. We juggled tarps in the wind, and it was not fun.
The tarps that surround the goats' area are fastened to the ground with forged iron tent stakes. But, the ground is so soft from recent rains that I expect all the stakes will be pulled out by the wind, and the tarps will be flapping in the breeze.
