Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Well, Jim, if you've learned anything from this, it's that you can't go around doing high-end projects -- like insulating a garage stairway for $30 -- and not expecting it to overly improve your property.

Lisa, that mole is even more unattractive than the usual, garden variety of pest. I hope it is a single, solitary beast and that you don't find any of its friends or relatives.

@ShrekDawg, your visitors were much more pleasant to look at!

An update on my rodent-ravaged car situation: Monday, I had an appointment to get the wiring fixed, but it wouldn't start. My AAA guy (who is also my hay guy) came out and got it running. Not that it mattered because I got a call from the dealership that we had to reschedule for Tuesday; the tech called in sick.

Yesterday, as I was getting ready to drive into town (relieved, because the car started), I got a text and a call from the SA at the dealership. Tech is still sick, so we need to reschedule again.

The appointment is now set for Friday; I told the SA to simply pick a day she thought might work for them. If the (apparently only sufficiently trained) technician doesn't recover by then, I may need to send flowers and a get well card. Or, a full-service dealership may want to cross train one of the many other folks who work in the shop.

And the Universe laughed at me again: I got a text asking me to rate the dealership's service department. I think I will wait until the day, if ever it comes, that the work is actually done.

On the plus side, yesterday's snow was light, fluffy and easy to shovel, and today, it's supposed to get above freezing.
Thanks!!!

yup Barb, don't give them a bad review before they do the work. you don't want to wait forever to get an appt.
9below this mornng.
sad thing, the property appraisal went up before I did the work. I wonder how much it will go up once they find out about the insulation job ?
that surely was an ugly rodent. Lisa..
DD Brenda brought us a quart of her Mexican beans.
she put a little too much red pepper in them for her taste.
I could handle the pepper, but they were still Mexican beans. which I am not too fond of.
bro Dave came to visit us yesterday. I think he really comes to "visit" my beer. lol

Sorry if I grossed everyone out with my rodent pictures. It sure freaked me out. I will delete them.

So cold. I can't add anymore outside critters. It's getting too hard to care for them these days. Not looking forward to next week at all.

I'm not liking this,
