Sounds like things are going well with the new goslings, Lisa. Hope things are also going better with your back. Are you going to do physical therapy?
Jim, did Dave enjoy the "surprise" you had for him?
Hurray for your "cute" beans and happy peas! My first beans are doing so well that I planted more, probably way more than I need. Or, maybe not -- given my usual failure rate.
When the electric company came out to replace my farm light, left behind were two deep tire ruts, about a foot and a half wide and 20 feet long. I've been trying to fix them by hand tilling and adding a lighter, compost-filled soil.
Rather than seed the naked dirt with grass, I decided to use it as bonus garden space. So, beans, onions, Crenshaw melons and some squash are growing there. I'll likely plant grass this fall.
On Monday, we leave for England. I'm sure it will be a great trip, but I am no fan of flying in general and get extremely airsick during the descent. In fact, we are going a full day before the tour starts, just in case I am too unwell to enjoy getting off a plane and onto a bus to the hotel. Meeting new people while upchucking repeatedly seems like a bad way to start the tour.
