Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

I can't adapt to the cold this year. I'm freezing. I think I lost my face out there somewhere while tending the critters. I forget what a frozen face and frozen fingers feel like, and how quickly it happens. Dogs are getting squirrelly without their daily run. I am not doing that until it gets warmer.

Do you do any therapy with a hip replacement Jim?

Hi, I have not been on the computer for about four days.
Yes, I do therapy twice a week. It really helps.
Tuesday we got 5 gallons of wine bottled. Have to wash some more bottles and then do another 5 gallon batch..
I have not gone out except for on the days that I have therapy.
I have a wisconsin winter poem for you.

Hi, has anybody here ever made their own seed planting tapes ? I tried it once but did not do too well. Any tips or ideas ?

Never. It looks like it requires patience and dexterity. I have have neither.

Yup, same here, However , in the past year my patience level has improved.
I wonder if the seeds could be placed on regular scotch or masking tape ? It would have to be something that would easily dissolve in the ground.?

I just tried looking on youtube. there are a couple of tutorials to watch. It doesn't look so difficult.
I figure a day sitting at the kitchen table will save hours in the garden next spring.

I live in California, and it is warm most of the time. Honestly, I love to spend some time outside tending flowers and other plants. Moreover, I always thought that the garden is useless during the cold seasons. Until my college friend invited me to visit her in Wisconsin during the winter season. It looks so romantic during the winter! I didn’t expect to see something beautiful like this. We set an outdoor fire and had some marshmallows with mulled wine. She also bought a new garden furniture set. So, now it is nice and cozy in her garden. Now, I regret that I don’t live in a place where seasons are changing.

I cannot imagine an ever changing garden throughout the seasons. It never occurred to me others don't have that. Winter will show you if you have good bones as they are called, and winter interest. I also enjoy the forced rest period.

I am sort of restricted from going down the stairs. So I don't get to use the computer as often as I would like. I bit the bullet today and came down the stairs. It wasn't too bad.
I opened up a bottle of beer. It is coming along very nicely. I should have cooled it before drinking it, though.
The wine I bottled is mellowing. The alcohol content is pretty high.
We got all of our garden seeds except for the Serendipity corn seed..They sent us a tiny packet of 150 seeds. We ordered and paid for a 1000 seed pack
after a phone call, the big pack is supposed to be on it's way..
