Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Pics
Another good day working in the yard. trimmed some low hanging branches on the black walnut trees.
Then cut low hanging branches and dead branches off of the long neglected lilac bush. I think we removed about half of it. as long as the mulberry tree was right there, we cut on that too.
We were close enough to the house to use the electric chain saw.
after supper i went and mowed around the grape arbor.
then I filed the rakers on the chain saw and adjusted the tension on the chain.

I didn't do much today. Just waiting on stuff to grow. We did do some pruning of shrubs over the weekend, and finished planting our purchased shrubs. Got my little pond filled. Will move the goldfish out in a week or two.

we went out this morning and located four very old grape vines where an arbor was a long time ago
naturally they are not in a nice straight line, so i am going to try to make individual supports for each. I am thinking a steel fence post with some sort of T arms on it. any suggestions are welcome.
Annie is mowing the rest of the lawn right now. I can hear the motor running. she hasn't choked it off yet. lol
i have a few stratified grape seeds that i want to get planted today. it should have been done weeks ago, but,,,,,,
I hope they grow. I got a few free grapes from a guy and saved the seeds.

How far apart are the bases of the grapes? You could run fence wire to tie them to perhaps?

I'm glad Annie is enjoying mowing. I like mowing the lawn too as long as it isn't too long. I hate having to use the lawn sweeper afterwards.

I hope the frost stays away. My tomatoes are coming out the top of the Kozy Coats.

I thought of using fencing. it is still an option. right now there are just the first signs of buds. we will wait and see how the vines take off before we design any sort of supports.
I soaked the grape seeds over night. today they will go into dirt. In four months we might have plants.
My big job for today was to pull the dumpster out to the road.
rewarding myself now with a donut and cuppa coffee. lol

We get donuts from Kwik Trip.
I worked at Dixie Creme Donuts for my first job out of the army. then I worked part time for them later on
I use DCD as the standard against all other donuts.

I used to visit my grandparents in Chicago. Dunkin Donuts was my favorite donuts.

Deer found our asparagus. They hopefully enjoyed it. My husband will enjoy more venison come fall hopefully. They are getting brave.

there is a Dunkin in the Rib Mt strip. way south close to the Rip Mt Park exit off of I-39.
today I sure picked a good day to wear shorts for the first time.
had our septic tank pumped today.
$240.oo .
That's expensive. We have just holding tanks and get pumped often. So far it isn't that expensive. Yours must be an actual septic system. Apparently we can't even get a mound system here. Too much clay they say.

I don't think the Dunkin Donuts are as good as they used to be either. There's one here in Rapids. I haven't gotten anything from it. I'm mostly a dreamer about eating stuff like that these days.
