Dried elderberries and rose hips

I have some leftover that I'd like to treat my chickies to, as I won't use them soon. So, do I just toss into my ferment, or soak them to hydrate and just feed as a treat separately?

I do small batches of FF, so they wouldn't be in for longer than 3-4 days.

I think you could probably do either or. If you put it in their regular food, they will probably be more likely to eat it, as sometimes they are picky about what they eat.

Will see what I try. They are funny--yesterday fed them some corn on the cob that got too old for us, but didn't completely shuck it--just peeled the husks back. They acted almost afraid of it, was about 15 minutes before one was brave enough to try

That's funny, mine go nuts for corn, esp. if it is on the cob. Let me know how they like it, I might try giving mine some. I know rose hips are great for calcium.
