I've had this happen a couple times now. I keep them separated and clean them up in a warm Epsom salt bath first. Then push everything back in applying the Prep H. What I read was to keep them in a dark place so they would not be laying for a while. I applied the Prep H a few times each day. Finally after the second or third day everything was staying in place. After a week, I let them back outside with the flock, making sure things stayed looking good. Both times my girls were fine and I still have them a year or so later.
